A Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) is a professional trained to guide individuals in creating meaningful and sustainable health and wellness changes. Certification ensures rigorous training, ethical practice, and expertise in behavior change science.
While similar to therapists in providing a safe, non-judgmental space, coaches focus on exploring your future rather than delving deeply into your past. This distinguishes us from therapy, career coaching, or life coaching—although we can explore topics related to both. Our primary role is to empower you to identify your goals, overcome barriers, and develop the habits and skills to achieve lasting change.

Health coaching is an emerging profession that requires rigorous training and certification to ensure ethical practice and professionalism. Many individuals claim to be health coaches without formal qualifications, which is why certification standards were established in the United States.

Coaching may be a good fit if you’re:
Ready to make positive changes but feel unsure about where to start.
Looking for guidance and support to navigate health and lifestyle challenges.
Seeking accountability and encouragement to create lasting change.
I truly believe health coaching is for everyone—whether you're aiming for a specific goal or simply feeling stuck. Too many people are just getting by, running on empty, and feeling disconnected from their potential. Coaching helps you shift from survival mode to intentional living, supporting you in reaching your version of peak performance—mentally, physically, and emotionally.
It’s a space to reflect, realign with what matters, and take steady, meaningful steps forward—with someone in your corner every step of the way.

Coaching is a space for your full self—mind, body, and spirit. We can work on:
Health & Habits: Building routines around movement, nutrition, sleep, and energy that actually feel doable.
Stress & Emotions: Managing anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, and learning how to set boundaries and care for yourself.
Faith & Spirituality: Reconnecting with God, growing in your faith, or figuring out how to live it out in everyday life.
Life Direction: Feeling stuck? Let’s talk purpose, career decisions, and navigating family or cultural expectations.
Relationships & Singleness: Facing loneliness, comparison, or longing? We’ll explore identity, healing, and thriving in your now.
Values & Vision: Clarifying what matters most and creating goals that align with your bigger “why.”
Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Bring it to the table—we’ll work through it together.

Yes, I’m proud to call myself a Christian and a disciple of Jesus Christ. My coaching style is rooted in my faith and shaped by Christian values.
That said, you do not have to be Christian to work with me. One of the core principles of health coaching is that it’s client-centered—your values, beliefs, and goals guide our work together. I won’t bring up faith unless you express interest in exploring it.
If you are a Christian, this is a safe and open space to reflect on your walk with God, prayer life, spiritual growth, or anything else that’s meaningful to you.

Health coaching focuses on helping you create actionable plans for the future, whereas therapy or counseling often explores your past to address emotional or psychological issues. As a health coach, I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, I partner with you to explore your goals, identify barriers, and develop strategies to achieve your vision of health and wellbeing.
